Academy

All Levels

Ages 7 - 10 Age Chart

Academy is the name used for the younger, recreational programming for JHYS. It is the developmental arm of JHYS for children ages four through eleven. Our primary objective in the recreational program is for players to have fun with an emphasis on skills development, teaching good sportsmanship and a knowledge of the game. We will introduce and improve age appropriate technical and tactical abilities of the participants in an environment that will foster an appreciation of the game.

Academy program runs from April 16 - June 2, 2018

Tournament Schedule

The Academy Program is a gender specific program. The goal of the program is to continue to build a solid skill foundation in dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, and tackling. Through the use of age appropriate games and activities players will continue to increase their understanding of soccer. Players work as a team, understand the rules of the game and develop a stronger sense of camaraderie with their teammates. The kids will be in an environment where they are encouraged to participate, play, learn and have fun. Parent coaches are needed, if interested, please email the Academy Director of Coaching, Alin@jacksonholeyouthsoccer.org.

All Academy players will be required to purchase a new uniform set for the season. The set includes two jerseys (Home & Away) & pair of shorts at $45.

Uniform costs are NOT included in the cost of the training program, and scholarships do not help cover the cost of them. Scholarships only help cover the cost of our training programs. Uniforms must be purchased separately.

Pre-Competitive

Travel Soccer

Ages 8 - 10 Age Chart

The Pre-Competitive Program is for players who have developed a love for the game and are serious about becoming better soccer players. Our intent is to provide a competitive, but not exclusive environment for these developing youngsters. It can be viewed as a supplementary, transitional program into United from Academy. This is an option for the age group U10 players. The kids must still play in the Academy program, however they have an extra practice a week, usually before Academy practice, and go to 1-2 travel tournaments per season. When registering for the season, you must choose the option “Pre-competitive.” Your child will automatically be placed in Academy when registering for Pre-competitive.

Tournament Schedule

All United players will be required to purchase a new uniform set for the season. The set includes two jerseys (Home & Away), pair of shorts, and two pairs of socks at $90.

Uniform costs are NOT included in the cost of the training program, and scholarships do not help cover the cost of them. Scholarships only help cover the cost of our training programs. Uniforms must be purchased separately.
